Layout

Why the membrane matters more than the tile
The part of a bathroom that decides how well it lasts is the part nobody sees. Waterproofing goes on after the services are roughed in and before a single tile is laid, covering the shower floor, wall junctions and the other wet zones that need protection.

Can the layout change during a full renovation?
Often, yes. Whether the shower, toilet or vanity can move depends on the existing drainage, structure and where services can run. That’s checked at the assessment step and resolved during design, before anything is ordered.
How is the cost of a full bathroom renovation worked out?

How long will the bathroom be out of use?

Is a full renovation needed for a leaking shower?
Not always. A leak isolated to the shower recess can sometimes be repaired on its own. When damage has spread or the rest of the room is also due for replacement, rebuilding the whole wet area is usually the more sensible route. Assessment shows which applies.
